The Ole Miss head coach has led the Rebels to the postseason in each of his four seasons at the helm.

OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss officials announced here Friday that head basketball coach Rod Barnes has signed a contract extension through 2006. The contract has been approved by Chancellor Robert Khayat and the Board of Trustees, State Institutions of Higher Learning.

As a Rebel, I am very excited to see that Barnes has signed a contract extension. We "welcome him back" and look forward to the upcoming season.
