Most of Temples, date and start times, were out of our control. The big east set it, Temple was ball gaged. But on occasion we have played weeknight games and odd start time like noon (eastern) games if it ment some TV channel somewhere would carry the game.
We had an early start time last year against Virginia for ESPN 2.
I remeber a west virginia game on a thursday where a unknown Jessica simpson lypsynced.
WE also had the Village people gay it up one thursday night.
We usually played the mac teams at night but on saturdays.
navy was a thursday in 2001
richmond and oregon st were on thursdays in 2002 (only two games i have missed since 1995) I lived in Vermont.
But the lsat two years no weeknights

you have succeeded without trying to be "mean."
Is that not what many of us here do best?
Gooooooooooooooo HUSKIES !!!
_________
Allow me to repeat my confusion and learn from any wise old Owls.
TU has four MAC football games scheduled in 2005. UT, BG, Miami and WMU - no real patsies in the collection.
TU is eligible for either of the MAC's two automatic bowl bids in 2005.
Even should Owls tally four MAC wins, how will that total exceed the number of MAC wins earned by East division winner?
In what bizarre scenario is it remotely possible for TU to earn a MAC bowl bid?
I don't get it? Why bother negotiating a condition of membership if
it' s not attainable?

<a href='http://gozips.collegesports.com/trads/akoh-trads-nickname.html' target='_blank'>What is a Zip?</a>
I don't know what they were thinking back then. I think it was all the rubber fumes in the air.
Actually there's more to it :)
Zippers was choosen because the zipper was invented in Akron (Home of the National Inventors Hall of Fame). Adding zippers to mens pants pushed the abbreviation to Zips. Being an Irish town, we're lucky they didn't choose Akron's other prominent invention "Rubber" :ninja: What would we have shortened it to??? The Rubs????? Well anyways, that name was given to our stadium, the Rubber Bowl! :monty:
Gotta have a sense of humor about these things!!
BTW is the Temple mascot the one that annoys the other teams during TO. God I love that. If so, he's earned a seat right behind zippy, the best mascot in the MAC
the MAC
better ingredients
better football
