I guess the question is when will Temple play an eight game mac schedule. 2006 would be nice. It will be a rather interesting battle that year. The question for the fans is how well will Temple do in the MAC. The MAC east is a lot different than the Big East. Kent, Ohio, UB and Akron aren't gonna blow anybody away. Miami has a new coach this year and BGSU could lose Jacobs to the NFL after this year. Temple is used to playing against a much more difficult slate. I think Temple could go either 3-5 or 4-4 in the MAC. Sure, BGSU, Toledo, and Miami are strong, however, the rest is very average and mediocre. This is a great move for Temple. Perhaps Temple can win some OOC games and get the MAC some credibility before the MAC battles take place. I haven't seen Temple play much so I have to take an open mind about the Owls. Even some elite MAC schools would struggle with the schedules that Temple played in the past. A little confidence could make a big difference for Temple.

I would like to mention that Temple needs to bring in its basketball. I know that those rivalries are great but the MAC is far more exciting. 10 teams were rpi top 100 last year at some point. We sent 5 teams to either the ncaa or nit tourney. Chaney is a great coach, but he needs to let the program move up to the mac. The MAC won't be a cakewalk for Temple hoops. That east division with Temple would be better top to bottom than either A-10 divisions. Buffalo would become a great rival for Temple. Buffalo and Philadelphia fans are cut from the same cloth. I love that passion that east coast fans bring to the table.

haha move up to the MAC in BBALL. That is funny. The A-10 had one down year and everyone jumps off a cliff. Next year the conference could have 5 in the tourney;temple, charlette, dayton, xavier, st.joes. Plus many more in the NIT. I just dont see how it would be a move up to the MAC. TU bball needs to stay in the a-10.

Temple is done with the A-10 all sports in 2007.

Screw the A-10 John Chaney built it and without Temple it will be a non-factor...

NCAA bid for the men and women this year....

Than you need to drop football and be done with it.
Do not underestimate MAC basketball. You would not be playing a bunch of cupcakes.

Is this your opinion, or is this really going to happen in 2007? I know that the football schools are leaving the A-10 for the CAA in 2007.
