I need to collect $2 million to buy out a contract. I'm talking donations. Checks, cash, and all major credit cards will be accepted.

Good idea, Rx. I'll start passing a coffee can around down here ...

This doesn't look like "building" a program to me.

It's Sloan ball all over again. Don't look now but they just extended CC's contract out to 2006. <img border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" title="" src="graemlins/banghead.gif" />

Remember the cheer, "H-E-L-P, Help Steve Leave"?

Can anybody come up with something analogous? <img border="0" alt="[Drinky]" title="" src="graemlins/drinky.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" title="" src="graemlins/banghead.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="mad-flaming.gif" />

<img border="0" alt="[Cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/cheers.gif" /> We're not alone, Rx. Posters on the Vent and the Messenger are pretty ticked off, too. He's been called "Buttcliff" on the Vent.

I'll be glad to take donations for the "Buy WizardRebel a Beer" fund. I'm looking to get plastered tonight to forget about this one. I'm tempted to drive to Oxford and drink on the square, but I can stay in the bars longer here in Jackson.

Ours weren't. You can't throw to someone who's not there!

I hope I'm wrong on this, but I think this game will be a tone setter for the rest of our season!

It kills me to be thinking like this. But we just don't have our crap together. It's obvious that we talent. It's just not being used properly. So, there is a problem. It has to be fixed. We got embarassed enough tonight by Texas Tech. How will the Floridas and UGAs of the conference deal with us? I have a bad feeling that it may be a long season.

I've had enough heartache this year when the baseball season fell apart. I had high hopes for football. The sad thing about today is that we shot ourselves in the foot several times. Okay, I'm not really even counting Eli's interceptions. Those happen.

The bad snap on the punt burned us.

Not getting any points with the short field on our second drive of the second half killed us. We came out in the second half with a beautiful scoring drive to cut the lead to 28-14. Then, we make a phenomenal defensive stand and forced the turnover, giving us the ball in the red zone. We could have cut the lead from 28-7 to 28-21 and it would have still been early in the third quarter. Then, on that drive, we stall and try the fake field goal. I would give kudos to Cutt for that one HAD WE NOT BEEN DOWN BY TWO TOUCHDOWNS! Someone else posted this and what defensive player for Texas Tech wasn't licking their chops when Armistead came in to hold?

Allowing the punt return...killed momentum. I'm pleasantly surprised that we got back the momentum that we did. We are too good on special teams for that crap.

Do I blame Cutt? Partially, but this loss was not completely his fault.

Do I blame Eli? No. He came out flat again, but played his heart out to keep us in this game.

Well who do I blame? The entire team. Coaches talk about team wins. Today was a team loss. They didn't gel out there. When the defense makes a stop like ours did early in the third quarter, forces a turnover, and gives their offense a short field, it is the responsibility of the offense to get points out of it, either 3, 7, or 8. They owed that to the defense.

Do I feel like this season is lost? Absolutely not. I know some of you think so, but I think that if we can work on these things, we can win some games. Don't forget, we did a lot of good things on the field today too. Mistakes cost us three touchdowns though and that killed us. If we don't fix these things, we are in for a long year.

If I weren't trying to drop a little more weight, I'd be drinking heavily right now.

WR

I told y'all to keep your Reality Squad® applications handy.

This game was essential for us. We had to win it in order to have any chance for a winning season.

Back in July or so we had a poll as to what game would be the bellwether for our season. I chose this one, because I thought it was going to be the first real game we would play. Well, it was, and there it is. We have no chance now for a winning season. We now see how we play against actual football teams. We had to win this game, and we completely blew it. We will be defeated by Alabama, Auburn, Florida, and LSU, end of discussion. We may have a chance against Arkansas, if Eli can pass and the receivers catch. That doesn't look likely. We may have a chance against Vandy. With State College its even money. Anyhow, its a long season this year.

We'll beat Ark St. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Go Rebs. <img border="0" alt="[Puke]" title="" src="graemlins/puke.gif" />
