Temple will play 6 MAC teams in football for the 2006 season. What 6 teams would you like to see?

I would prefer that they play every team in the Eastern Division: Akron, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Kent State, Miami (ohio), and Ohio University.

What other non conference games have we committed to? I think we may play Kentucky and Penn State.

Apparently, Temple football plays the following in 2006:

Clemson
Penn State
Navy
Western Michigan
Buffalo
Miami (Ohio)
Central Michigan
2 additional MAC Teams
2-3 OOC games

Kentucky deal begins in 2007.

I'm almost certain OHIO is on the schedule for Temple in 2006. OHIO was planning to sign a 1for1 with Temple for the 2006-07 season before they joined the MAC.

If WMU and CMU are firm , it's logical and albiet dangerous to assume the remaining two MAC games not accounted for would be against teams from East division.

I suspect more than two divisional cross overs in one MAC season would be a first.

Would you not want to compete against the better programs to determine how much real progress has been achieved?

Temple needs to build their Football program. I would prefer to play all or most of the opponents in the MAC East. These will be the teams that they will play every year once they become a full football member.

I figure Akron will be on the schedule. We have played them a few times in the past, and it is logical to resume the series.

I think it was rumored USC was interested in coming to Philly, and as I recall Va Tech has a future series scheduled. But these were all pre-MAC possibilities, which of course changes everything.

We should play all of the MAC East Schools to see how competitive we really are in th league.

Unless something changes with the new conference afiliation, Toledo and Temple had a 1 for 1 deal with a game in Toledo in 2004 and a game in Philly in 2005. There was no game scheduled in 2006 between Toledo and Temple.

We won't. 'Cause if you make it past ten, you'll have to take off your shoes. And nobody needs that.

Well, I can get to the number alluded to without the aid of toes, but 11 won't be pretty either.

That would be 10 and a half.

And, I'm speaking numerically.

UT was the best in 2004, but won't be in 2005. That team belongs in Bowling Green, Ohio. 03-wink

But NIU is not playing at BG this year.

It's always best to wait until the games are played. After all, everyone thought BG was going to lay the smack down on UT and NIU was going to the MACC game before the actual UT/BG game was played last year.
