Spurrier couldn't do it. Its been quite a while since the Gators were able to pull off a win in Tally. New coach, new "I think I can" at***ude. Can't wait for the game!

It is not important to be politically correct.
Florida will take out Miami at the beginning of
the year. Then during the season they will fall
to Tennessee, LSU and Georgia.
Try Florida State 34 Florida 13!
They don't "circle the wagons" well in G-Ville!

New Coach, Same Talent = Same Result
Give FSU 14 pts for home...then you got a nice score of Florida 31 FSU 24
I don't care if Spurrier is gone...Florida's still got loads of talent and a workhorse as a coach...not to mention a great defensive mind in John Thompson. Gators, looking forward to seeing you guys in Atlanta...and Gabi, can I stay at your place? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
WPS..and good luck to the Gators unless you play us in ATL.

Ozarks. I have no doubt that the Gaytors, believe
the game is in Atlanta. But we will remind them
to come to Tallahassee to play us. I know the
'Hogs have spent a great deal of their time in the
SEC having to "look up" in the standings column...
However...The "Noles aren't in the SEC. GEEZ!
Yeah...give us an extra 14 points for playing in
Tally. Forget that Swamp stuff...Doak Campbell is
the toughest place in the country to play.
'Noles have won 4 of their last 10 visits to G-Ville. The Gaytors haven't won in Tally in 16
Years!!!!!!!!!!!!

No offense Paul, but NC State won at Doak Campbell last year. Florida can do it too. Now, I gave FSU 14 pts just b/c it's a home game. But I watched Florida put a whipping on the Noles last year...seems as though your boys got a good view of the blimp cause you were always on your backs. I gotta pick the Gators to win again. I think Florida's grossly underrated b/c of Spurrier's departure, and the high talent level is going to rise to the occasion many times for Ron Zook.

Hang on Hog,
Coach Amato knows the Noles like the back of his hand. He did coach at FSU forever as an assistant. Also got to factor that we were converting everyone to WR to cover up all the WRs we lost.
Now, Florida lost Alex Brown, Lito Sheppard, Mike Pearson, Jabar, Reche, Manuel and I'm sure I'm forgetting someone. FSU lost Hope, Walker, and our starting MLB. All our WRs come back. FSU's gonna go 4 and 5 wide on that young Gator secondary, and Grossman's gonna be missing his LT big time. Florida isn't gonna win this year. Too much lost to graduation.
PS: How's Cobb doing?

Gaytor Defensive Coordinator when he coached there
as an assistant. His NO Saints defense was a
"swinging gate" last year. He was Florida's
3rd choice. Actually, ****her done than that, but
they realized, no good coach was going to attempt
to follow Spurrier, and they needed someone in
place before theNational Signing Date. They would
have been better off with Teevens.
Spurrier won at DUKE. AT DUKE! He's a jerk, but
he can Coach. Plus he was a "natural" fit at
Florida. When it comes to Offense...No one can
match Spurrier...NO ONE!
Even with all that...The 'Noles have beaten the
Gaytors 11 times in the last 15 years. 8-5-1
against Spurrier. (Two years we played them twice)
FSU had 17 starters fall to injuries last year.
I understand supporting your own conference teams.
You should...
But...No...FSU has every bit as much talent as
Florida...probably more. Has had for the last
15 years. Spurrier is what kept this series
a rivalry.
You'd have to understand the way the Gaytors
think. They invest a great deal of money and
support into that program. SOS was a favorite
son. When they falter, there will be moaning...
by the time they arrive in Tally...they will be
in a tailspin. This is FLORIDA (The State), there
is nothing else but FOOTBALL. Stoops will be the
next Florida Coach...in three years.
Their talent level was always irrelevant, because
of SOS...They could score on anyone. He's gone
and the level of play will diminish.
Gaytors will go down in Tally...BIG TIME!

Forget history Paul....that's Alabama logic to bring up history, and EVERYONE in the SEC knows about Bama logic.
Florida outmatched FSU completely last year, and the same talent is coming back. Is Zook as good as Spurrier? Probably not, that's to be found out. But, given the talent level, from what I saw...Florida wins.
And just a q Paul...find it ironic that FSU went to the GATOR Bowl last year? just a thought.

Not the Gaytor Bowl!

Listen up....Florida is going to be a way different team then your teams have played in the past.
Coach John Thompson now has the talent and speed that he has always dreamed about. Look at his Defenses at Arkansas they were pretty good but know with all this talent damn were going to be good on D.
Coach Ed Zaunbrecher used to be Off coach at Marsall and look at Marshall whenever you watch a game of theres there were some major points on the scoreboads. Now he has the best QB in the nation in REX, one of the best RBs in Graham, and one the biggest Off Lines in Florida History.
Im not saying that were going to be undefeated and win a national title this year...."next year"...But we will be very consistant and fun to watch. Coach Zook will have everyone ready to play on Saturdays.

I always like Florida and never count the Gators out because the football team always finds a way to win and overcome the odds.
I don't think UF will be down at all but it probably won't be a Fiesta Bowl in the gators future this year but you never know. I won't count them out until the final week. Which happen last year when Florida controlled their destiney and was in the driver seat for the Fiesta Bowl but Tennessee beat them in Gainesville. Then the Vols controlled their fate and lost to LSU in the SEC Championship. So I expect another season of great football in the SEC.
