As a point of interest (maybe only to me) I took a look at MAC teams' records for ten seasons from 1995 thru 2004 vs. Big East teams.

With the exception of Miami Ohio's win vs. Virginia Tech at Blacksburg in '97, Big East teams beat the MAC teams (I might have missed another MAC victory). Problem is, MAC didn't play many against the Big East--usually played PITT or W.VA. and of course Temple; Temple lost nearly all their MAC games.

MAC OCC games were mainly against Big Ten or Big Twelve teams--rarely any success for the MAC in those games either.

Moral of this story?: This information doesn't mean much, but Owls better start winning some games. I'm especially interested in how Owls matchup against Frank Solich's Ohio University (who knows when that game will ever happen) and also vs. Miami Ohio at The Linc on October 29th! GO OwLS!

(By the way, I consider myself a "rookie" or a "tadpole", but not a "newbie"...but that's just me.)

Pittsburgh native, Bruce Gradkowski, and the Rockets handed Rod Rutherford and Larry Fitzgerald a loss a couple of years ago.
