LSU has hired a former NCAA enforcement official to help with its investigation of whether athletes were involved in academic fraud.
Michael Glazier, an attorney, has advised colleges on compliance since 1979.
Allegations against several football players include claims of plagiarism, tutors providing too much help, athletes taking unsupervised tests and instructors being pressured to ignore improprieties.
If found guilty of NCAA violations, LSU would be subject to punishment as a repeat offender. The university is still on probation for sanctions relating to the recruitment of former basketball player Lester Earl.
