So was the near-miss against Cincy a real disappointment or does it give you hope for the rest of the season?

As a Bearcat fan I would like to offer my congratulations to EMU. They gave UC all they could handle. It was a good and exciting game to watch. I know many people expect a blow out in a game like this but those in the MAC know you play better FB than what is recognized nationally.

The EMU offense is very exciting to watch. Any idea why your coach pulled the starting QB for a few series after you had driven to two TDs?

Good game and best of luck for the rest of your season.

I think EMU, as a program, can take some solace in the outcome. In times past EMU would have folded like a cheap tent after falling behind 14-3 early. But, this was a game against a team that EMU could have beaten and eventually EMU has to win games such as this. The real question is how good or bad is Cinci? We really don't know so it is hard to measure our progress against this squad.

The defense had a lot of familiar problems and gave up chunks of yardage.

As to the question about brining in Tyler Jones at QB, I believe he only came in for one series and that is the plan for the year. Jones is a tremendous athlete who is being groomed to take over as the starter next season as well as getting him some playing time in case something happens to Bohnet. Jones will see action for one series in the first half of each game, if Genyk sticks to his stated plan.

BTW...nice stadium with nice improvements.
