And again... as for reasonable, sane AND realistic, despite your 2 of three in football and 5 of the last 6 in baseball, I take what Southern Miss has done over Memphis every single time. You could expand the Liberty to 100,000 and sell it out for every game, it won't change the win loss columns and bowl appearences, nor will it change how many regionals you have played in or hosted.
As for how many Championships have been awarded since we last won one, if you want (or have to) hang your hat on swimming, golf, track and feild etc, then be loud and be proud.

A 2 win season is making improvements? You haven't made any improvements in football. You had a few mediocre seasons with Williams and Wimprine. Now that they're gone, you're back to the same 'ol POS Memphis that you always have been.

Our basketball program is definitely headed in the right direction. I'm not going to sit here and claim that we are as good as Memphis. And if we happen to sweep next season, I'm not going to spout off that we've won 2 out of the last 3 while ignoring the fact that you own us.

Something tells me egrizzard will be claiming Memphis is 2 for 4 after Southern Miss mangles the Tigers this year on the gridiron. Suddenly his recent history will span four years instead of three.

I find it funny that despite the Tiger sweep this year in baseball, Southern Miss is ranked higher than Memphis, and the Tigers find themselves looking up to the Eagles out in Greenville this week. Seems someone forgot to tell them the season lasts longer than one weekend.

Saying Southern Miss basketball will never be as good as Memphis basketball is admitting that Memphis football will never be as good as Southern Miss football. That would be a reasonable conclusion, and not an arrogant one, which egrizzard might not understand.
