DALLAS - For the third consecutive season, Marshall senior Doug Legursky (Beckley, W.Va.) was named to the Rimington Trophy Spring Watch List. This season marks the eighth year that the Rimington Trophy will recognize the most outstanding center in college football.
A total of 46 players are named to the list, making it the largest Rimington Trophy Watch List to date. Eleven players make their return from the 2006 campaign, with 35 new centers will be vying for the trophy this year.
Legursky, 6-3, 311, is one of 23 seniors on the list. Eighteen are juniors while five are sophomores.
A 2006 All-Conference USA First Team selection, Legursky has started in every Thundering Herd game the past two seasons.
The winner will be honored at an awards banquet at the Rococo Theater in Lincoln, Neb., in January of 2008.
