"I do have to add that your coach was very classy and was literally yelling to keep your team from socring quickly in the last 10:00 min of the game, If I was a guy who didnt get much PT I would want to score too."

And Nomad responds to Eustachy's actions by being a two bit loser jackazz. I wish LE had turned his guys loose and beat the pitiful pirates by 60. LE has too much class to do that though. Nomad would have deserved it.

Nomad does not equal all Pirate fans.

We all pretty much have it coming.

Especially if the bar is set to "doing something stupid when you're drunk".

Like this?

Props to Eustachy. Hope I'm doing the same at his age.

In my opinion, the worst part of the whole deal was that he was at a party at his team's RIVAL SCHOOL.

If Ricky or Skip came to a party at ECU, I would think that was pretty cool of him, but if he went to NCSU or UNC-CH

Calling off the dogs is for the weak. ;-)

Seriously, this has to beat down of the year for this league.
Anyone know what kind of stats Wise ended up with?

Wise had 18 points, all in the first half. He didn't get a chance in the second half to light it up. Wise finished the game tied for the freshmen record for most points in a season. I guess LE wanted him to break that record at home.

Very cool. The freshman has carried USM on his back and they have clearly staked their claim as the second best squad this year.

We already know he's a big game player. Now we'll see how he handles
the tougher pressure of tourny play.

If he comes out grinning while shooting warmups, I may have to start drinking again. lmfao

It might even be for third place in C-USA.

We are traditionally a terrible road team, but after tonight's performance, anything can happen with this young and inexperienced Southern Miss squad.

I seem to remember another road game that yall played really well this year in our place (3 point loss at Memphis)

USM fans are bragging about how bad they beat ECU Basketball? lmfao

Congrats on beating a team that has won only 2 division 1 games, has a coach that is in year two of his job, lost over half of its players last offseason, were missing 3 of their "top players", and a team with absolutely NO TRADITION.

This is obviously a "payback thread" for what ECU did to USM in middle October of 2006. As far as I see it, USM has yet to show me where they are far more surperior to ECU is basketball.

Sounds like a bunch of excuses to me.

Beating you on your home court by 38 points doesn't show you that we are far superior? uhhh, okay. 01-wingedeagle

BTW - This smack was all started by a Pirate fan. What happened in October is irrelevant and in the past. We still had the better season, played in the championship game, played in a better bowl game, and won our bowl game.

No it isn't. I'm just putting things in perspective.

Don't forget those years before, either.

I agree with you that USM was the better team, and deserved it, but I don't know if you can really argue the fact that playing in the GMAC Bowl is better than playing in the Papjohns.com Bowl...

We played in the #2 bowl. You played in the #3 or #4 bowl. Yes, the GMAC is a better bowl.

We are 2-0 against ECU this year, with one win being by nearly 40 points. Yes, we are vastly superior THIS YEAR.

Well in football you are not better. You just can't accept that you lost.

In basketball I have to say that I apologize for what I said to Eustachy. I just read that the reason he came out of the locker room and past me was to compliment Ricky Stokes and to talk to the people in the press box telling them to be patient with the team. But the football team gets no love from me.

What's funny is that even though ECU used a blown ref's call to help them win, you aren't better because who won the East? Was it ECU? Who played in the Championship game against Houston? Was it ECU? So yes, you got a lucky win, but in the end you still were proven to be looking up at USM.

Well if you saw the interception that ended the football game wouldn't it appwar that your guy was looking up at us. Everytime you lose a game that you are absolutely supposed to beat brings out the sour grapes. I'm going to ask you agian, what is your current win streak against us in football? What is our current win streak against us? We won, the ref may have messed up in your opinion, but we won.

Okay, lets play question and answer...

Who won the last game? ECU
Who won the previous five games to the last game? USM
Who won 8 out of the last ten games? USM
Who won 11 out of the last fifteen games? USM
Who won 18 out of the last 23 games? USM
Who has won 24 games in the series? USM
Who has won 8 games in the series? ECU
What is USM's longest winning streak in the series? 7
What is ECU's longest winning streak in the series? 2
How long is USM's current streak of winning seasons? 13
How long is ECU's current streak of winning seasons? 1
Number of winning seasons in last 15 years by USM? 14
Number of winning seasons in last 15 years by ECU? 7
Number of bowl games by USM in last ten years? 9
Number of bowl games by ECU in last ten years? 4
Number of CUSA Championships by USM? 4
Number of CUSA Championships by ECU? 0

So yes, ECU won the last game. Congrats. It just really sticks out on that list.. lmfao lmfao
