How Vanderbilt can win

By scoring a TD. Sounds simple, but the Commodores have not yet gotten into the end zone against a Division I-A foe, despite getting into scoring position several times last week at Auburn. The best chance will come through the air since Ole Miss is ranked 70th nationally in pass defense allowing 217 yards a game.

How Ole Miss can win

Unleash Eli Manning on Vanderbilt's frail secondary, which has collapsed under far less talented quarterbacks. The Commodores held Manning in check last year, before he cut loose with three TD passes in the fourth quarter.

Commodore to watch

CB Rushen Jones

The only player to make a preseason superlative team has struggled so far this season. Jones, a preseason All-SEC Second Team pick, has broken up just one pass and missed a number of tackles in the first three games.

Rebel to watch

RB Robert Williams

Everyone's talking about Manning and the damage he is capable of through the air, but Vandy Coach Bobby Johnson says Ole Miss will try to run on his defense as well and Williams is the featured back with 264 yards, 47 carries and 3 TDs.

How will it shake out?

It's like a broken record
