I like Weaver and don't quite understand the grief some folks give him. He loves the Pirates and if his announcing is a little rough around the edges that is fine by me. He is way better then some of the broadcasters I have seen for other schools.

Weaver's an okay guy in my book. He's not nearly as bad as some other color commentators on major networks either. He isn't the greatest, but I'll take him over quite a few others too.

Oh, and he's a Pirate. That's good enough for me.

At least Weaver was man enough to admit he was wrong (as were lots of folks) ... and to his credit, the data he was going off of in the media guides wasn't very clear. I had brought that game up before (using CFBdatawarehouse.com) and no one said anything - it looks like some others on the BYB had done the same.
