Somebody at work asked me if I was excited about the game this weekend. My reply was "Not really excited, more like petrified."

If we'd won last weekend, we'd all be bouncing around like helium balloons in a hurricane. It's just hard to be upbeat and excited when we're headed into a game that means so much with a team that can't figure out what they want to be.

Unfortunately, Rice sucked all the joy out of the room.

I might would understand the low activity a couple of years ago when the game was played in Charlotte and the Pirates pure stunk.

ECU should be excited about the game.... now NCSU fans....

I'm excited about playing State and excited that a win means the team goes to a bowl, but why should Pirate fans be any more optimistic than state fans?

State may have only won three games, but they still have a good defense going up against a schizo Pirate O. The state O has done enough to keep them in most games.

I think this game is pretty even, with the exception of State's D vs. ECU O. State wins that contest on paper, IMHO.

USAToday line is State by 3

The Rice game is still lingering throughout the team IMO.

We'll find a way to lose.

Keep in mind also that State just came off a loss to a team with no other wins agianst D-1A opponets. It's an insult that we aren't favored.
