Just read ya'lls prediction for yesterday's games, and am wondering why Tennessee only beat Middle Tennessee by a score of 25-3 at Tennessee? Been reading about how lots of fans from other teams think Tennessee is gonna beat Miami. After watching the Canes destroy (maybe that word's too harsh) the Gators yesterday, I don't think Tennessee can keep up with the Canes. Of course my fellow Nole fans slammed me for my opinion, calling me a closet Hurricane and other bs. hahahaha

I too thought that the Vols could hang with and beat Miami, but after yesterday, I don't think they can. Besides Washington, they don't have an experienced deep threat. I also think the Canes will exploit the loss of UT's best linebacker Burnett.
As I said on another thread, Miami is a machine. I haven't seen the Gators dominated like that in years.
and IMHO... Florida > Rest of SEC, and last night it was proven that Miami > Florida, so Miami > Tennessee.
This scientific breakdown was brought to you by Vandy Dandy.

MsNole, don't be fooled by the MTSU-UT game. They are very solid, for a lesser-known team. I lived in the town that that school is in(Murfreesboro, TN), and even went to MTSU for a couple of semesters, so I have a good bit of knowledge of them, as I have been to plenty of MTSU games. They have a very good running game, and a pretty solid "D", as well. I was at the Vandy-MTSU game last year when the Blue Raiders destroyed Vandy, and it wasn't pretty. Granted, it was Vandy, but still the SEC.
Also, UT is awesome and probably didn't expose all of their weaponry. Look at Bama against MTSU last week, Bama struggled to win that game.
Don't let that game fool you, MsNole. UT is still very strong. And MTSU is a lesser-known team that you don't want to take lightly. So, it didn't surprise me that UT struggled to put them away. But, I guess I underestimated the blow-out from UT. I thought UT would eventually run away from them in the 4th, but apparently MTSU hung in fairly well.

Hmmmm, now I'm not fooled too easily... afterall, I'm been around a Lonnnnng time. Ya gotta score more than 25 points to hang with the Canes. I'm NOT trying to take credit away from anyone, but can you look at it objectively, 10MAN???

Well MsNole, my girlfriend is a die-hard Vol fan. She didn't make the game Saturday, but said it sounded like they were just horrible that night. I told her to remember that they did win and that MTSU is a quality up and coming program. She didn't want to hear any of it though.

I am looking at it objectively, MsNole! Sometimes teams do not play up to par and wind up playing to the other teams' calibur. That's why we have upsets in college football, occasionally, and that's why they play the game.
Miami may wind up blowing UT out of the water, it's very possible. It just depends on the day. I seriously doubt it, though. UT usually gets up for the big ones and plays just ok in the average games. Miami is, without argument, the best team in CFB right now, as they proved yesterday. But, UT will give them a helluva fight. Just wait. That's as objective as I can get. Just giving credit where credit is due with MTSU, that's all.

I don't know the outcome but it said that bama wasn't able to sack their qb and that bama got to OU's qb 6 times (this was a sooner telling this). So kudos to MTSU!!!

Yes, dear, you are right. Sometimes, especially after being smacked by so-called fellow-Noles, I read things into threads that I shouldn't.
Please forgive meeeeeeeeeeeee...

MTSU is an "up and coming" program. Tennessee did like we have the last couple of weeks - doing enough to get it done. (Sometimes that back-fires on you - you under estimate the opponent's ability and your own.)
I know the season is young, but from what I have seen so far - Miami is THE team. Right now anyway.

Yep, Tennessee is suspect, just like I thought. Darn I wish I had submitted my picks. It's the 1st time I ever picked Florida over another team... golly, what's wrong with me and I was right!

UT actually played a tougher game than the score indicates.
A few boneheaded calls from the fat kid blew their chances. . .
. . .is "bone-headed play-calling" an eastern TN virus? If so, I think it's contagious. . .

Tennessee couldn't even snap the ball right... 4 times in a row the qb fumbles the ball. Yeah, it was pouring down rain, but Florida wasn't having those problems. I dislike the gators, but they did the Noles a BIG favor by beating Tennessee... they helped move us up in the polls.
The Noles play Louisville this Thursday night on ESPN. Ya'll watch it now, ya hear!!!
PS I don't ever want a REALITY squad application. If ya'll join them, I'll stand by myself!!! Down with negative people!!!
