Now I understand that some schools like ECU, Marshall, USM and others are in small cities. I would like you think about what it is like in Orlando around 6:00 traffic wise. From Disney to Lake Mary on I-4, which is to say from south Orlando to North Orlando, which is about 30 miles will take you about an hour and half to two hours to do. Going east to west, from UCF to the Citrus Bowl via S.R. 50 or the 408 is about an hour ride, on a perfect day. Throw in the the incredible rain and add another hour to both directions.

If this game is on campus, UCF would get around 30,000 for that Tuesday game. Just wait until next year, you will see the huge difference. You guys just don't get what that part of Orlando is like. It is a ghetto, the worst part of town. Not a nice place to be at night.

The excuse machine.

How about you explain how a school of 46k in a major city can only draw 1200 fans to a basketball game.

Face it it's the fans.

I am trying to figure out what bothers you more. The FACT that you can't beat us in football, or the FACT that you can't beat us in basketball.

Must suck to be a baseball school in a basketball and football world.[/quote]

That's ridiculous logic. We have beaten top 10 teamS(PLURAL) in both football and basketball. Did that make us better program than the Miami's and Marquettes? Nope we had their number for a couple of years. You guys had ours last year, congrats.

It doesn't make you any better of a program, infact you have far less to hang your hat on. I love how you hold on to those wins because the fact is they are some of your BIGGEST wins of all time since you have never beaten top ten or decent big time schools in either of those sports but from the way you talk one would think you guys had actually done something in the football/basketball world other than beat ECU, but you havent.

Do me a favor. Name all those major wins in Football or basketball. I challenge you. We would love to see how big of a player you are in the football and basketball world.

I can name them for you if you can't.

It's no worse than that weeknight Memphis @ UAB game from a few years ago where there were 7 people in the stands. Now that was the lowest of the lows.

I don't remember us ever playing at UAB during the week.

Maybe it wasn't Memphis, but I remember that it was a terrible rain storm at the beginning of the game. I really thought that is was Wimprine's senior year.

It was USF @ UAB in 2004. USF won in front of an announced crowd of 347, but that counted both teams I believe.

Hey, don't drag UAB into this pi$$ing contest. 05-mafia

Jonesing, it must really suck to be you. No one cares about ECU. You beg to get into the Big East, yet no one hears you. Your basketball team is horrible and your football team has not seen a winning record since Clinton.

You know that Tulane won more SEC titles than Arkansas, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss and MSU combined. I hardly doubt that matters today. Maybe you should join us in 2006.

OK, I'll join you in 2006. 2006 D-IA wins so far:

ECU - 1
UCF - 0

But UCF is leading in the 1aa wins column 05-stirthepot :owned:

UCF had one good season of football last year and I will give credit for that where credit is due but you can't base your quality of football one great season out of what.. the last 10? ECU also can't be judged soley on the last few years either...when you look at ECUs long term football wins we are superior to UCF in any facet you want to make comparisons in.

With 0 winning football seasons in 5 years and 0 winning basketball seasons in 10 years, I think it's very safe to say that ECU sucks in the two major sports.
