Will the new 4-2-5 defense work well enough?

Well, at the rate we're going it will soon be a 5-1-5 base formation...

And PEA said we had depth at LB...

Yep, with Strong being down now with a sprain, we've got trouble coming. I expect he'll be back in action soon enough, probably even for Memphis St., but I have to worry if he can go the whole season. This is the easy part. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />

I'm going to wait a few games before I make any comments on the new 4-2-5 defense. In the past, LBs has always has been one of our strongest positions on the field. I don't think much of having just two LBs and trying to stop the run. We'll see. Can't be no worst than last year!!

i think that saying that we only play 2 linebackers is a little misleading... two of the five db's are playing in what amounts to a linebacker position... we will constantly have eight in the box, with the ability of dropping into a nickel type coverage... i think it will really work... although i think we are headed to atlanta every year we lace 'em up!... so i could be looking through tinted glasses <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="cool.gif" /> ... have faith and let's see how the chips fall....LET'S GET IT ON!!!
