I just started playing again about a month or so ago...a bunch of guys from work (and friends) meet each Monday at a local middle school and play. The games are usually anywhere from 5 vs. 5 up to the occasional 11 vs. 11. It's a blast and we have some pretty good players turn out...unfortunately I tend to bring the talent level down!!

what middle school? I'm a keeper and if it's on my way home, I may play....

My son is 11.

I would love to play, but I need to get my right knee reconstructed first. I don't have an ACL and my cartilage is currently mush.

I can recommend a few docs for you if you want.

I forgot you work downtown...we play at Howard Middle School off of Robinson. It's a good group of guys...competitive, but fun games and always looking for a couple of keepers! We usually start getting out there around 5:30 and start the game by 6:00. Time is loosely kept but we usually end up playing two 30 minute halfs. Really kicked my azz the first few times out!

You don't think you could go to any surgeon and tell him/her you blew it out previously? I don't see how your insurance company could decline it. Most surgeons get their surgery cases pre approved.... I'd give it a try...

You go to the appointment, they do an eval, send you to get an MRI, doc sees you for a follow up and then schedules surgery.... bada boom, your healed....

You sound like an old pro at this. Been there, done that??

You are probably right, though. I am 33 now and have been suffering from this since I was 16. Who's a good doc?

I actually work in Winter Park. I was hoping it was in Oviedo or north East Orange county. That way I could take some back roads home... Downtown would be a pain. I used to play indoor in Lake Mary but they would schedule some games at 10 pm etc... that was not worth it the next morning... I made all the 6/7 pm games but the others weren't worth it...

Since you are in Lake Mary, I would go to either one of these offices, both are the same company but they have 5 offices... In Oviedo see Dr. Schwartzberg at Orlando Orthopaedic Center....
At their Longwood office (next to the hospital), Dr. Rosen.
Dr. Schwartzberg is young and involved with all of the local high schools and very sports oriented. But the closest office that he goes to is the Oviedo office. Dr. Rosen is a very good surgeon. I would let either of them cut my knee.. Hope this helps.

check out their website... It explains all the specialties and which office the doctors go to...

I haven't had it done to me personally but I am very familiar with the procedure...
