UConn has been in 1-A for FOUR YEARS. Marshall has had more time to build a program in that time.

2002-UConn 6-6 Marshall 11-2 and a bowl victory, nice year

2003 UConn 9-3 Marshall 8-4...UH OH

2004 UConn 8-4 in a BCS conference, beat the crap out of the MAC champ in a bowl, Marshall 6-6, bowl loss

2005 UConn 5-6, Marshall 4-7 Both teams could use an injury excuse for these seasons.

So in UConn's second, 3rd, and 4th year of 1-A, we've been better than Marshall. Oh, darn, in our 1st year we only went .500.

But why should I complain. Connecticut is in a BCS conference:D. OK Laura if you must you can kill this thread, because you can. :shhh:

Marshall wasn't born on 3rd base with a silver spoon up their butt either.

What the hell does that mean Ultra? I kind of understand the last guys attempt at a shot at ECU. But this one I dont understand. I think you are attempting to imply something, but I would like to hear your answer first.

I believe he was calling UConn a third baser, someone who was born on third base but acts like they hit a triple to get there. It's generally used to refer to rich kids who were born into money but act like they had to work really hard to get that job at dad's company.

Most other Big East fans would not argue with that assessment.

Bingo. UCONN was handed a nice new stadium paid for by the taxpayers of Connecticut and moved up early into D1A without actually having to pay any real dues in football. I don't have a problem with that but if their fans want to come out bragging about UCONN football then they need a shot of reality.
