Quote:sorry, but he did get fired by his father. I remember that story from yrs ago. I dont care what article claims anything. He needs to prove what he can do in CUSA.
About the so called demotion, first off if that was the case SO what. If that is your biggest knock then it's pretty weak considering the rest of his resume. Although there was more to the situation...this from an article....
?You?d have to understand Lou to understand that move,? said a close associate of Skip Holtz. ?Lou wanted to appear to have more control of the offense last year and so he made a statement to the team that we was assuming the offensive coordinator role. In reality, it was still Skip who called the plays and did the day to day duties of the coordinator role.?
The fact is Holtz hired a great staff, even stealing the DC away from a Big 10 school and engineered a 3 game improvement and almost made a bowl, finishing 6th in CUSA last season. He was a successful D1aa head coach before and a successful OC at Notre Dame.
Quote:Yes I am giving Holland the benefit, I am not the one crowing on this and that and he has prove nothing on the field or court.
The coaches have had one year, at least give them a 2nd. Good Grief.
Quote:I am glad that you got back all the radio,
Back on the radio?? we had 28 stations across NC, SC, and VA
last season, we just added back a 100,000 watt flagship something we used to have in the late 90's, and yes it was an accomplishment for Holland.
Quote:You should have waited on you to have a winning season before getting on this board and proclaim that he is the best. BB, you have never been even close to .500 all long as you have been in this league.
We have been in the league 5 whole years, and the league was a power league for 4 of them. That's relative, many so called good mid major programs moving up like we did would have had trouble as well.
Quote:It was even more then than it is now and still no .500. Stokes is not the best fit for you. Holland needs to hire a coach based on his record not his friendship.
Funny you missed the fact Holland also hired McCarthy on the same day as Stokes as a combo package, and together they have

Quote:Dont get me wrong, I do hope that you have success. The more success you have will prove he is worthy of your praise, and also that proves good for the conference. Until ECU proves it on the field and court, Holland has proved nothing to anyone in this conference but you
