SMU is the flagship. 45th in the NACDA ratings for overall athletics although Rice will make up some ground based on their 3rd place finish, they won't catch us. UTEP is 70th, Tulsa is 72nd. This closes out the debate once and for all. When any other schools can come get ahead of us in those rankings you can come and talk to us.

SJ, I do appreciate you watching the Tigers' back and noting the difficulty of our West opponents ... and I do like the Pirates to do well this season (and I really enjoyed visiting D-F over a dozen times in my four years in VA Beach) ... but ...

I gotta say that we (Memphis) would have made the point moot if we had beaten UCF straight up. We had the chance and did not do it. While it is true it was the first game after our second first-year QB to go out with a broken leg (what a horror?) --- I gotta say that UCF was a machine and quite simply ate us for breakfast that night.. Thus, they deserved 100% to be the East champs over us.

You do make a nice point on USM (I didn't realize their loss to us was their only East defeat). But still, the Golden Knights were the champs. And I'm very glad they are in C-USA.... now, don't hate me for typing that last part. ;-)

I don't even care about ECU anymore.

I just have a genuine dislike for the flaming idiot, loser, @sshole, ignorant prick Jones is.

He brings nothing to any conversation but insistant flaming and whining.

I'm sorry you ECU fans have to call him one of your own.

If you had gave UCF the Tulsa draw instead of the Rice draw, and USM the Rice draw UCF got they would have been in the title game. We saw how UCF/Tulsa turned out. USM won head to head over UCF.

UCF......Easiest draw in the east.

100% true.

UCFs Greatest wins of all time according to Sagarin

1. Toledo.................9-3 N/A (1997)
2. Miami(oh)............7-5 #56 (2002)
3. La Tech...............6-6 #61 (1998)
4. Memphis..............7-5 #70 (2005)
5. Alabama..............3-8 #71 (2000)
6. UAB.....................6-5 #75 (2001)
7. Toledo..................7-5 #76 (1999)
8. Bowling Green.......5-6 #80 (1998)
9. Houston.................6-6 #84 (2005)
10. ECU....................5-6 #92 (2005)

Sagarin only went back to 1998, but Toledo was the only D1a team you beat with a winning record before 1998. I surfed your greatest wins of all time and here they are...... the year and the ranking. Feel free to look them up yourself.

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin-archive.htm

BTW the only other D1a team you beat with a winning record ........UL-L 6-5 #119 (2005)

So you can say beating us was no big deal, but the fact is it really was one of your best 10 wins EVER.

What has UCF won in THIS CUSA???

As far as I can tell, the generic knights were a second place team that lost a low level bowl game to a WAC team.

As opposed to the "no level" bowl game ECU competed in back home.

Advice: when you have no argument, it's best to be quiet.

Forget the trophy case, check out their marquee wins from above. USF has been at this football thing about 20 less years and half the time as UCF in D1a, and they have better wins. They also ACTUALLY have 10 D1 a wins against teams with winning records, in half the time UCF had.

1. Louisville.... 9-3 #22 (2005)
2. Pitt............. 7-5 #45 (2001)
3. Rutgers........7-5 #53 (2005)
4 Bowing Green..9-3 #54 (2002)
5. N. Illinois....... 8-4 #55 (2002)
6. Memphis........ 9-4 #60 (2003)
7. Louisville........ 9-4 #63 (2003)
8. N. Texas......... 8-5 #63 (2002)
9. S. Miss............ 7-6 #68 (2002)
10.UAB............... 7-5 #79 (2004)

Close:
UCF.. 8-5 #80 (2005)
ECU..4-8 #86 (2002) (hahah)

Yep I had to resort to Sagarin's since you never have defeated a top 25 team or a program that finished in the top 25 at the end of the season. You do know Sagarin is one of the few computers that help decide the BCS. It's not meaningless.

but since you did laugh why don't you name off the best 10 wins in the history of the UCF program, and give the records, ranking etc. lmfao

The fact is you haven't EVEN beat 10 D1a schools with a WINNING record. In your entire history. You have exactly 6 victories against D1a schools that had winning records at the end of the season in your entire history including 10 years of D1a ball. Only 1 BCS victory. Our mediocre year last year was one of your top 10 wins of all time in UCF history, and I think that says about all that really needs to be said. So go ahead name your other "marquee" wins why don't you. We are all waiting, but the thing is your not going to come up with any different than I did ;-)

Just don't post something stupid like Knight Time calling your 10th best victory of all time as a breather, especially when you trailed in the 4th quarter, were outgained and gave up about 600 yards of offense. Or like Mike the Knight posting records and try to play it off like it's apples to apples when you guys were beating up on scrubs and D1aa's and didn't even beat 10 d1a schools in 10 years (or your history) with winning records. Most of your winning amounts to fluff.

Hey Knight Time ;-)
