Yeah this from a guy that went 0-11 and lost by 4 TD's to Buffalo and some other less than stellar MAC teams..... sure he could never suck 03-melodramatic Two words..... Ralph Friedgen. He needs to buy that guy lunch because he was money in the bank.

0-11 with players that weren't his, and he didn't even have close to the 85 scholarship players that year. O'leary finds good assistants, so what? I mean look at our new offensive coordinator. Who knew he would have done as good job as he has this year since he came from Eastern Michigan. I love our offensive play calling this year. 2004 it suck because the kids could've run all the plays, but last year about 70% of the playbook was installed and it worked very well most of the time. If you look at O'leary's GT teams, almost all of them were very competitve. I've been very pleased with the steps I've seen O'leary take since coming on campus. Making the kids go to class and checking up on them in every aspect of their lives, recruiting brighter kids, recruiting better athletes, getting to know the coaches at every high school in the state of Florida, recruiting the southeast and texas, his assistants have all been top notch, making UCF build an indoor practice facility, having one of the greatest turnaround in NCAA history, and being nominated last year for coach of the year again. I have confidence in O'leary's ability as a head coach. But even with all the success he's had, there is always a chance that something could go wrong and we need to buyout his contract, that's why i wish we had a smaller buyout. Its not a big deal as I'm think is very unlikely that we will ever need to use it.

Or the guy who beat ECU by 10 in their own house.

We'll gladly invest in O'Leary, and you can just keep..........whoever is your coach these days.

Random thought: If you don't reply to the ECU guys' baseless nonsense, they'll eventually give up. I'm sure they get a kick out of dragging every UCF-related thread to the smack board, so why feed them? They'll stop eventually. If you can't help yourself when it comes to replying, just click "ignore"!

I'm just saying you guys are either going to hit a homerun here or strike out miserably with this contract. There is no in between, and clearly all your eggs are in this basket.

Lets remember last year O?Leary was the goat. I say he won a few games, but who did he really beat this year? Last year was just as bad of a performance with a 3 game regression, as this year was as good, and even this year he didn?t do anything extraordinary. 8-16 overall.

I understand sometimes you don?t have the players, but I don?t think it takes much to be more than 4 TD?s competitive with Buffalo last year .

...and yet ECU couldn't beat O'Leary at home.

Jonesing, once your guys put up a winning season, then you can talk trash. Always remember this. A team full of losers can't have fans that talk trash, even Rice knows this.
Until then, everyone here thinks you are a complete moron.

A winning season?? By your stupid logic, I guess you guys shouldn't even be in the conversation, since you never done anything of substance and you know this. UCF is built on moral victories 1-33 ring a bell?? one minor bowl loss?? 0-11...... 8 months ago??? One 8-5 record that Sagarin says only makes you #80 in the country 12 spots higher than our losing season. Don't let the successs of your "Dream Season" get to your head kido........

Most people can see right through it..... Name that marquee win??? after all a program as steeped as yours would have at least one or more, yet you guys can't because you don't even have one in 30 years of play.......Knock Rice all you want but at least Rice has won some bowls played in a major conference and have some tradition and accomplishments. They deserve a voice, you guys have nothing and are the ones that need to sit in the corner an know your place, or lack there of. I think your the one that needs to take the clue and zip it, we have earned the right to talk just a little, unlike yourself. See the trophy case for confirmation. Then take a look at yours.

The fact is that UCF has not just passed by ECU, but we ZOOMED past ECU. Enjoy talking all the lame $hit you want......the fact is that you're insignificant and nobody could give 2 rats @ss what is going on at ECU. You continually talk about UCF, WHO LAID A SMACKDOWN ON YOU LAST YEAR.

So go ahead and try to derail EVERY SINGLE THREAD about UCF, but please don't pretend anyone ANYWHERE cares about ECU, because they don't. Now, back to your scheduled 3-4 win season and moral victory celebrations.

LOL the smack down in which we outgained you by 150 yards and led in the 4th quarter??? Anyway glad you soared by us.........

Sagarin 2005....

UCF 8-5 #80
ECU 5-6 #92

Wow!!! Fly like an Eagle man!

Love the #191 Ranking UCF had the year before under O'Liary, I didn't know a D1 program could fall that low. I mean we were bad but we were still a good 50 spots ahead of you clowns, but then again losing to Buffalo by 4 TD's and going winless I guess that's a pretty accurate ranking. Keep the dream alive though.

BTW it never stopped you guys from talking smack during a 17 game losing streak as recently as 8 months ago. How quickly UCFer's forget these little facts. I'll say what I please because you guys had no problems.

UCF fans, be warned. USM has had ECU as its b#tch for decades and yet they still see themselves as better than USM. Get used to it. Delusional posters like Jonesing are just fans of a has been program that live in the past. USM has dealt with them for years and they still refuse to admit they are second class citizens when it comes to USM. So now UCF will own the Pirates and fools like Jonesing will come on this board and post about teams they had decades ago and how great they were. Funny thing is that even in those great years they still were USM"s b#tch. lmfao lmfao lmfao

Good Advice.

Luckily, it seems that most of the delusional chatter is done by this Jones dude/dudette.

Most ECU fans I know are very cool...and don't talk like they've been stuck out in the desert without water for 2 weeks.

It sounds to me like UCF got nervous with how the AD left midstream and are doing everything not to have to change leadership here again as well and lose the momentum they have. They know that the AD that hired O'Leary is gone and that's normally not a situation a coach will stay in.

From what I have seen, the local media is reporting the UCF AD change as a great thing for the school.

But let's be honest, all the schools in CUSA have to be nervous of a good coach leaving for the perceived greener pasture's of a Big Name BCS school. I applaud UCF for trying to show their coach some loyalty and hoping that they get the same in return. UCF is making a commitment to improving their overall athletics program.

Yeah, UCF has been talking with O'Leary about an extension since the 8 game winning streak last year. This is not a knee-jerk reaction to losing Orsini.
