Me and L'il10Man, along with my brother, were there for the games today, and let me tell you something I've never been to a friggin' baseball game when it was that cold.....good gawd!!! It actually snowed tonight before we left Oxford, and they're playing baseball?????? Geeeeesh!!!

Anyway, from what I saw we looked good but have a few kinks to work out, we'll get there and I'll definitely take the double-header wins today!!!


Hey Wiz, I took my son and my brother to Abner's after the game tonight and treated them to some good chicken!!!! You jealous?? :D

I didn't think you were going to make the trip up from Jacktown yesterday. When I got up Sunday morning the temperature was 24 degrees and there was still a chance of rain in Oxford. I decided not to drive down and be told the games had been called for rain.

I'll bet you and L'il 10MAN nearly froze your butts off! The team sounded really good over the Internet. The first game was OK, but we punished them in the second.

I'll have to look at the schedule to see when I'm going down for a game. JBR and I'll be at the Memphis game at AutoZone Park for sure!

We weren't, but I didn't want to pass on the opportunity to get to spend some time with my brother up there, not to mention a day with my son, so we braved it. As I said in another thread, we didn't get to see all of the games, but it was well worth the trip.

You can probably imagine with my brother being in school in Oxford, time spent with him is rare these days!! You take whatever time he'll give you.

Please dear Lord, give us a good season!! The bullpups are already mouthing about how Polk has come back to S-ville and after getting things kicked off last year....."He will take them to the CWS" and they will "dominate" us in baseball, also. "After all, Polk can get ANYBODY he wants", all he has to do is show up at their house and the guys are like puddy in his hands.
