I have a hard time believing that Childers is going to get that much of a gain in arm strength. I just don't think he's a good QB. He may not have turned the ball over last year, but we're going to need his arm this year to be successful, and he looked like a high school freshman out there last year with his pop flies and inaccurate passes.

Childers cannot throw 20 yards on a rope... he can do the 20 yard pop fly though.

Childers loses his freshman disclaimer next year. No more, "But he is only a freshman!". He will have to be compared apples to apples with other MAC starting QBs.
