That means armed guards, teachers, administrators, parents, hell... responsible honor roll students who have taken a firearm safety course.

You can ban AR-15's and this puke sits on a hill with his grandfather's hunting rifle. You can ban hunting rifles and this puke will walk down the hall with his grandfather's shotgun. You can ban shotguns and this puke will throw pipe bombs through windows. You can ban gunpowder and this puke will use household chemicals and make pressure cooker bombs in the hallways and impale hundreds of students with nails and ball bearings. You can ban household chemicals, steel, and nails, and this puke will get a knife and slice and dice his way through passing period. And before you say that knifes aren't that dangerous, just ask a cop. They fear knives more than guns.

The ONLY way to stop the sick and demented of our day is to offer up a serious and immediate deterrent. Most of these little pricks are just cowards that seek out "gun free" zones to play out their Call of Duty fantasies.

Alright since you don't want to stop, explain Australia.

America has a gun problem, they are every where, which makes it much easier for a crazy to get one and shoot someone. Or a kid to pull the trigger. A jealous violent man to kill his "cheating" wife.

The NRA has gone out of their way to ensure that availability, coming out against gun control measures the majority of American's support. Common sense things like psychological exams, waiting periods, tracking private sales, backgrounds for private sales, etc.

Now Mods can we please get this moved to politics, where it belongs? This isn't a sports thread in any way anymore.

Homicides in Australia actually went up several years after the gun ban took effect. America's homicide rate has been dropping steadily. 2014 was the fewest murders in the U.S. since the 60's. Stop blindly following agenda driven media outlets. Do your research, look at the numbers, and let your logic be your guide - not your fear.

Guns don't have agendas - neither do hammers or blow torches.

Let's start with the first part, mostly because conservatives just like to say stuff with out checking.

https://www.factcheck.org/2017/10/gun-co...a-updated/

Turns out not only are you wrong, but you are horribly wrong.

http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/427758

See crime didn't fall and neither did homicides in the US until the 1990s.

Now let's attack your last assertion. The issue of hammers and blow torches, mass stabbings have a much lower fatality rate than do mass shootings, see the London attacks last year. Even cars are less effective. So while a blunt object doesn't care, it state of mind doesn't take into account how far away from you the weapon needs to be for it to be effective, it's efficiency, or the amount of force one strike/blow can generate, or ease of use.

So stand 200 feet from me and throw that hammer while I take position and use my scope to line you up. Or get that low torches out and I'll drop my clip in. How many times can you but me before I slide one in the chamber and empty 11 into you?

Lastly please refrain from commenting on where or how I get my information or views, it just makes both of us look bad, you talking out your butt and me having to correct you.

I lived in Australia. I've owned guns, hunted, fished. Have law enforcement in my family. I'm well versed in the facts. I also can site sources for mine that aren't Infowars or propaganda.
