I was finally off on this night and could go so I did. I had no idea the hats were tied to tickets and I was just going to buy one outright. I get up to the arena and find out they were but the guy at The Eye said I could walk down and see if they would sell one separately. On my way to that counter a random guy saw my ECU hockey jersey and came up to me and said "I see you are a ECU fan, would you like these hats?" I was like sure and thank you! So I scored two free hats, of which I kept one and gave the other to the guy who came with me to the game. I think they look pretty sweet and I like the fact the purple is the right shade.

But yeah, Vonta Leach doing the opening warning siren was great but, to have the trivia question be about Duke and UNC kind of ticked me, my friend, and several ECU fans up in my section off. That said, I haven't been there on any of their other college nights so I can't say how they do it with other schools.

I think the tie-in is just hats/ticket packages, but yeah, more ECU stuff would make sense. The purple haze was a weird remix.

The trivia being duke vs Carolina was to promote the next two college nights, because they haven't sold out their allotments like NC State and ECU did.
