We'll see how complete they are this weekend when they go up against a National Power that also happens to have the best road record in the country over the last half decade or so. Cincy should get our best shot this weekend, and if so, will be light years away from what people have seen us play like recently. It should look like an NCAA game with typical NCAA results - we win - our opponent loses. We've got the horses, all we've got to do is bring it. Cincy scares me very little if we just give our normal tournament effort. This game is important for seeding and pride so I think they will need little prodding from the coaching staff.

Didn't the AAC coaches vote UC first? Maybe they know more about AAC basketball than the national media and voters. Results seem to reinforce that.

You may have a point about that. Very little of the media know about AAC basketball because... it really doesn't move the needle nationally to put things nicely. With a comparable RPI to the Missouri Valley, the AAC has a long way to go.

The National college basketball consciousness has seen enough of Wichita State over the last 7 years or so to know what they bring to the tournament table - more than enough firepower for this league. We've disappointed everyone except for our AAC opponents with how we've played this year. Hopefully we're turning things around now. We'll see soon enough.

What have they done that would trump the national title UConn won while in the AAC?

I don't know about Shabazz's Natty, but we've shown that we are consistently good every year and a legitimate threat to go deep. We are a far cry from a flash in the pan. We also currently have an AP Coach of the Year winner leading our team that has turned down more offers than Scarlett Johansson.
