Not that the 2017 season necessarily has anything to do with 2018, Rutgers went 4-8 last season. Three of their wins were against Purdue, Illinois, and Maryland. That would be the same Maryland that marched into Austin and curb stomped the Longhorns (of which many a Bobcat is a closet fan. . . . Please do not count me among that group).

While I love your optimism, we're sporting 2-10 records the past two years. We appear to be a dead program, if not dead, then certainly on life support. EW has yet to show that he knows how to win at this level, and we are talking about Bobcat Football . . . a product that rips out the heart, and crushes the soul.

Your assessment is correct, were we to go 4-0 it would shock the world.

I look at our OOC schedule for next year and the optimist in me says 2-2.

The realist says 1-3.

I hope that I'll be pleasantly surprised by our performance. For most of Bobcat Nation, the only thing surprising about our program is just how bad it's been.
