But to answer the gist of your query...

WHEN the left votes for Cardin, that will have nothing to do with Manning's gender, but the fact that Cardin is a really great Senator and that Manning's felony past is the disqualification.

I'm just taking your words at face value. I don't think I put words in your mouth. Simply took them to their logical conclusion.

Again, you appear to be rather upset about the fact that Transgendered persons are being treated with respect and common courtesy by some in this country. I don't understand the rationale for such hostility, quite frankly. But it is heartening to note that outside of uberliberal locals, like Prince William County Virginia, that qualified Transgender candidates can run for and win election to the state legislature (even unseated a Republican in the process). A Transgendered person will eventually win election to the US Senate. It won't be in Maryland in 2018.
