Best case scenario for OU is one of their guards catches it off the rim but they're facing the wrong way and their momentum isn't going towards the rim with 3.1 seconds left. We got lucky that it bounced to Avery but OU would've had to be very lucky to catch it in a way where they'd get a decent look off. And props to Zabo for what was basically a perfect chest pass into the front of the rim.
