24 team conferences will not work. There is no proof a 16 team conference will even work when the WAC and the Big East are the only sample source.

Thank God for the Wright brothers. Until they flew there was no proof that a machine could fly. They'll get larger and will do so for leverage. Then when the economic conditions indicate they will get smaller and more regional again. It's all dependent upon the economy and the power equation between the schools and the entities that pay for their sports product.

What part of the economy is dictating they need to grow larger? The Big XII just passed on getting larger. You can only cut the pie so many ways before the big fella decides he needs two pieces.

You could basically merge the pac 12 and big 10 than merge the sec and Acc into 2 bodies instead of 4 with the big 12 schools getting picked for either.

The divisions act as a conference? Sort of like a smaller conference? You mean a smaller conference makes more sense? Why would the Big 10 absorb the lesser performing Pac 12? To share their wealth?!? No, sir. That is not happening.
