This is what I remember in regards to ND. Their rich Donors and Alumni will NEVER, repeat NEVER allow them to join the Big Ten.

IMHO, the Rutgers move had nothing to do with TV Sets, or even Maryland. It had everything to do with the Massive BIG Alumni base in that part of the Country and they happen to check every single box that the School Presidents wanted.
