They added a light show, projected the ksu logo over each side of the crowd and student section, added tesla coils to shoot off electricity, the flasher brass was on fire, plenty of t shirt tosses to all sections of the crowd (including student)... What else do you want the department to do to make it better?
The crowd responded well and got loud for the new football coach. His excitement alone has me excited for football season. If he brings that to the sideline there is no way we see players with their heads down and defeated like we have seen in the past. If the players respond and recruiting continues we will be searching for a new coach in the next 3 years for a damn good reason.
I pretty much agree with your assessment. Six thousand was probably counting the band, cheerleaders, etc but the place was almost full. Only the four corner sections of the upper bleachers had obvious open seats. As far as students, as long as they fill the end zones that’s fine. Actually the ones that are upstairs sitting around me can be a nuisance. They never sit still and never stop talking. That’s another issue though. The band has been great for a few years now and if it wasn’t for them some of the early games and women’s games would be like attending church. There is too much noise at times but that’s a generational thing. The way I look at it I’m happy I can still hear well enough for it to be annoying. The new football coach being at a basketball game is inevitable these days. He reminded me why I usually don’t like football coaches but hey every university has to have one. By the way I’m sure the kid who won the big screen TV was happy it wasn’t $500 of books.Admittedly the prizes were much better for this game than any previous game but at least they picked the right game to do it.
