RE: Conference USA proves again that it’s a failing model
We absolutely must NOT expand our league to more teams that include regional opponents. That is a financial loser, and we may never recover. We must become a power in C-USA, and then look for our opportunity to join the AAC.

What would the AAC want from us? We need to show:

1. Financial commitment with football coaches and facilities (check)
2. A strong TV market for football (check)
This includes our attendance, so we NEED to keep it high!
3. A stadium that fits our program and our league (working on that)
4. A strong commitment to non-football sports (check - mostly)

The only other piece is that we need an advocate or a group of advocates. I'm sure the foundation is ready to be an advocate for the move up. Now, we need our AD to work toward that end. I've talked to him about it, but I'm not sure where his head is.

I hope he doesn't dream too little dreams.
