Gotta agree. ODU has a pretty old fan base for football and basketball. Id guess 15% is under 20, with the majority of that middle school or younger. Id also guess 70% is over 40. I hope they recognize that and specifically come up with some ways to engage teenagers, especially current students; and the 20 something crowd. Thats the future fanbase. What happens in 20-30 years when most of the fans wont be able to make the games? I do think thats part of why tailgating is important though. Thats part of the appeal to that 20 something age group, and once they're committed fans, hopefully they are Monarchs for life.
