You are all wrong if you think that Whitcomb has much say in who the Qb is gonna be as far as who plays, or who gets reps in practices. Two other coaches have more say then he does.
One says who gets reps and who starts. Whitcomb's job is to coach the Qbs. I believe he is a very good coach/teacher and can evaluate the position way better then most credit him for. Whitcomb is not the only recruiter of the position. Two other coaches do that as well. Your looking in the wrong place to place blame.
