Oh for Christ's sake, I'm lamenting the fact that there is no clearly defined top of the conference other than us and Wichita State right now. That means for the rest of our schedule, it really doesn't look like there are any "good" wins beyond them. It would be helpful if UCF was actually good and could beat the UConns of the world, it would be helpful if Tulsa wouldn't lose to freaking Memphis and the same is true of SMU. We can't have any meaningful heads on our mantel during conference play, if everyone beats everyone else. We're better off with a good SMU team, rather than one who get's dropped by Temple @home. We're better off with a good UCF team than a middling one, in a conference with really bad basketball.
It's not a hard concept, parity is a bad thing come tourney time. Especially when a lot of the teams in your conference, never beat anybody of great import.
