Same guys getting most of the minutes as last year minus 4 year all everything Troy Capuain....and you are replacing Troy with career backup and a skinny guy who spent his first 2 years playing open gym ball against bad competition and who is still learning how to do this. That being said there are about 325 basketball programs that would love to be where we are right now in terms of overall program health and facilities that are about to come on line.

Terry Nelson, among others, was suggesting Broome was the second coming of Nick Van Exel. I didn't see a transfer from a low major having immediate impact. But I believe he's looking more comfortable and will be counted upon as a key to any postseason hopes. Some couldn't wait for Troy to graduate so they wouldn't have to watch him walk the ball up the court looking back at the bench for a play. We still see that with Broome and JJ--and not just in the closing moments of a tight game.

The Sweet Sixteen is a reasonable expectation for this team and our fans (and the UC program). Few here expect "Kentucky results" but UC should be able to make tournament runs similar to that school in Norwood. Heck, Butler got to the championship game from the Horizon Conference and has had an incredible run playing in a, albeit historic, old barn in Indy. UC is taking away the facility excuse.

Better tournament performance is a reasonable expectation and it's fair to hold this staff to that standard now.
