It's supposed to be fun! At a certain point, I feel like people need to pull the stick out of their ass and just let players enjoy themselves.
Was the gator chomp classy? No. I don't get my ethical and moral pointers from college basketball players though, and frankly, anyone who does is probably stupid.

The gist of Lush's post was that sportsmanship makes you soft. I believe a majority of people would disagree. I think sportsmanship makes you exceptional. Higher education is also supposed to make you exceptional as well. I am of the ilk that would rather see more of this than people who are individualistic.

Both of us are entitled to our opinion. No one should be taken aback when fans react negatively to a poor attempt of being a decent human being for the reasons stated above, however.
