So this is what we see this week. Delany is having to root for Wisconsin in secret, it seems.
ACC champion is in, loser is out
SEC champion is in, loser is out
Oklahoma wins XII and is in, loses and XII is out
Wisconsin wins B1G and is in, loses and Ohio St might be in
Scenarios (after ACC/SEC champions)...
Oklahoma wins, Wisconsin wins - both in
Oklahoma wins, Ohio St wins close - Oklahoma in, toss up between Ohio St and Alabama
Oklahoma wins, Ohio St wins blow out - both in
Wisconsin wins, TCU wins - Wisconsin and Alabama in
Ohio St wins, TCU wins - Ohio St and Alabama in
This to me will be the most interesting scenario for the committee if it happens. Of course it will depend on the games itself (close, blowouts, or other committee favorites like potential body clock issues or key injuries )
But I will be curious how they treat a 11-2 conference title Ohio State who lost to OU in Columbus and got blown out by Iowa against a Oklahoma team that won in Columbus, lost to Iowa State (better loss than either ACC contenders losses), and lost to a TCU team at a neutral site whom they already beat fairly easily in Norman earlier in November.
Frankly if OU loses a very close game, I think they have a really good chance of getting in over Ohio State unless Wisconsin roles over and takes it for their mighty Big 10 overlords like they did in 2014.
