Nope---Im afraid you're the one that doesnt know what he's talking about. The Networks actually own some affiliates. I believe NY, Washington, Chicago, and LA are network owned and operated affiliates for most every major network. There is a reason most major national news stories originate from those hubs. For example, NBC actually owns the affiliates in LA, San Diego, San Jose, Hartford, Washington DC, Miami, Chicago, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, San Jaun, and Dallas-Ft Worth. Every major network has a number of owned and operated affiliates, thus every major network has licenses that could be pulled.

Yep, but don't the licenses only pertain to "over the air" transmissions?
