The Griggs injury was kept top secret apparently as even the media that regularly tweet/write about USM seemed just as shocked about Keon starting as our fans were.

Huh? He didn't start against Kentucky because of his left hand. I'm guessing they decided to do something more about it this past week, thus the cast. However, they wouldn't have had him travel and dress out if he wasn't available to come in if Howard played poorly. Hopefully he will heal up and we can have him available later in the season.

Luckyshot, it was a finger on his throwing hand (right) he banged up in fall camp that kept Griggs from starting against UK. The injury to his left hand occurred during the UNT game according to reports.
