Organized Pattern Blitz
Haven't posted in a while, but couldn't resist on this. Coach Houston referred to an "organized pattern blitz" in his post game press conference yesterday. I'm not a football X's and O's guy, so I had to google it. There are zero references to this term on the internet.

Since the playoff run last season, I have felt that, in addition to their ability to coach up and motivate the players (unlike any staff we've ever had at JMU), our coaching staff is just plain smarter and prepares better than most. I don't want to place too much emphasis on the organized pattern blitz term, but I think it's indicative of the level of intelligence within this team and coaching staff. The players seem to also really understand the playbook, which is a credit to the coaching staff as well.

I think we may have the Bill Belicheck of college football, minus the surly personality.
