I could see Florida giving out evacuation orders. Florida's geography is so different from Texas in that a hurricane striking from the south really doesn't give folks much of a place to get out of the path. Let's hope for that slim hope of a turn to the right....

Hattiesburg

Katrina roasted our arse....no power for most for two weeks and no water for at least a week for most.....

having said that, it's nothing compared to what happened on the MS coastline.....

I drove down a week after......then a month after.....then 4 mos. later......the devastation and recovery effort was difficult to witness....

regardless, the 'burg will recover if it happens again......however, I can't imagine another direct strike on our coastline....the insurers will disappear.....there are still >100 lots for sale that nobody will purchase due to that to this day.....
