You can, however, control who your mechanic is. Get yourself a new one, man.

I have a great mechanic. In your opinion, Pastner is a horrible coach, one of the worst, yet in his career he has outperformed Tubby during the same time period...including last year.

So, if Pastner is the worst and isn't qualified to coach us, what does that make Tubby? Less qualified.

I like how you limited the time frame to Josh's career, that's pretty convenient.

You are comparing apples to oranges, Josh coached in CUSA and the AAC, you have no idea how Tubby would have performed here, nor do you know how Josh would have performed at Minnesota or Texas Tech.

Coaching the top dog in a weak league is a lot different than coaching the runt of the litter in a strong league. I assume you would at least agree with that.

So yes, Josh's teams made the tournament more often, but it was hella lot easier to get there from Memphis than from having to rebuild Texas Tech (and he still made it anyway).

Actually, it is much more difficult to make the tournament in CUSA and the AAC than it is in the P5; it's not even close, so let's throw that nonsensical statement out the window right now.

CUSA Bids (12)
2006 - 2
2007 - 1
2008 - 1
2009 - 1
2010 - 2
2011 - 2
2012 - 2
2013 - 1

AAC Bids (12)
2014 - 4
2015 - 2
2016 - 4
2017 - 2

Big 12 Bids (70)
2006 - 4
2007 - 4
2008 - 6
2009 - 6
2010 - 7
2011 - 5
2012 - 6
2013 - 5
2014 - 7
2015 - 7
2016 - 7
2017 - 6

Big Ten Bids (72)
2006 - 6
2007 - 6
2008 - 4
2009 - 6
2010 - 5
2011 - 6
2012 - 6
2013 - 6
2014 - 6
2015 - 7
2016 - 7
2017 - 7

Obviously, teams from P5 conferences with low RPI's often make it and teams from non P5 conferences with high RPI's often get left out; that is another obvious fact.

Exactly where Tubby belongs, making $1.6 million per year. Thank you for agreeing with me. And when both made the tournament, Pastner won more games that Tubby did.

Game, set, match.
