Things to do are limited. Definitely go on the scenic route drive. It takes you through the mountains. On one side of the street is mansions on the other side is a panoramic view of El Paso and Cd Juarez. If you're feeling adventurous cross over into Mexico. On second thought don't. For shopping there is Cielo Vista Mall and the Fountains across the street. At the Fountains there are a lot of chain restaurants you can't find anywhere else in the city. There is also an outlet mall heading towards Las Cruces.

The hotel mentioned above is fine. I recommend staying at the Hotel Indigo downtown. It's a short five minute drive to the Sun Bowl. The Camino Real is a historic hotel but a bit outdated.

Thanks a bunch JC. I really appreciate you writing all that out. Nashville has an Indigo and I've been there before. Very cool place. I checked out the one in El Paso and I think it's actually nicer than the one in Nashville.

I was able to pull up menus on almost every place you mentioned. That's a good list and they'll all go into the folder for the trip. My wife hasn't been on a trip out into the deep west since she was a kid and that was flying to California so this is all going to be a treat for both of us really.

Hopefully (for me) our new coach will have us rolling pretty good and we won't take a beatdown on our trip to El Paso. I'm excited about the stadium visit as much as anything.
