Our record attendance is 25.9k set against New Mexico State however we've been averaging 23-24k for Saturday home football games for years now. Midweek games pull our average down to 21k. Some of the better support numbers that you'll find outside of the AAC. Regardless the primary interest here is for our basketball and all our football has to be is decent (hasn't had a losing season since 2008).

For the B12 that would require expanding to 32,000 for it, however that is quite doable and our program could handle that capacity. For the AAC our present capacity is fine. Again B12 would require UC to move to the AAC for some reason and the B12 being desperate for teams but it's a theoretical target for us.

UC is on an island now, if they go they aren't adding OU unless they have to backfill four or five. Athens is seven hours from the closest current school and is well over an hour from John Glenn Airport with no market except for a few small towns in southern Ohio, your football and basketball teams are fine but nothing remarkable. Your fan support is also fine enough but really only good by MAC standards.

And you need to be committed if you think the Big 12 is a possible target. They'd take any current AAC team before you, and they're not doing that anyways with Houston or UC so why'd they do that with you?

Misunderstanding my comments.

There is no B12 conversation so long as UC is out there dangling as a B12 addition. If that were to change (UC to ACC) then all of the sudden they aren't in front of us for the B12.

Most Ohio's season ticket holders are not from SE Ohio anymore and we've set records for season tickets 6-7 years straight. An hour from John Glenn is not very far away. UConn flew into Parkersburg WV which is 30 minutes away. Of course Bobcat teams also take the private plane right out of Athens County airport as it is.

The idea was fans were to list any and all options in this thread, both around the corner and theoretical. I guess you take issue with the way I present my schools options, mostly because you don't have some of those options. That is too bad.
