Underdogs that could make P5:
Buffalo: AAU school in New York. Need new football and basketball arena. All need to start hockey up. If they could build a nice 50000 person on campus stadium and get attendance up they have an outside shot at joining Big Ten.

Rice: Another AAU school. Need to improve basketball similar to what SMu did. Have a shot at Big 12 and PAC 12

UAB: The City of Birmingham is growing like crazy. If UAB could rebrand as Birmingham (similar to Charlotte). Have the city build a nice 50000 person stadium for the blazers and the Birmingham bowl they would be set. On top of that build a new basketball arena. The basketball culture is there just need to get football going. They could have an outside shot to the ACC if schools like Clemson, GA Tech, and FSU start complaining about northern growth and no new southern teams being added.

UNLV: New football stadium and a martlet that fits perfectly for the PAC-12.

Not in the real world.
LOL
