The only way OU gets an AAC invite is if it gets poached of four or so members, in which case they'd be joining the C-USA from about a decade ago. Anything more is a folly; at the end of the day they're a school who's record attendance is like 25k.

Miami is in a similar position. The C-USA reached out to us and Toledo shortly after Big Ben played and if we went there we'd have a theoretical chance of moving up to the Big East and later the AAC, but no matter what our old AD was gonna tank our athletic program and our chances of advancing. If our program was at its historical peaks (Top 25 and 26k attendance average in football, regular MAC winner and 6k attendance average in basketball, solid Olympic sports) however, we'd probably be on the AAC's short list.
